The Chess Club Forchheim e.V. (registered association)...

... disposes of 120 members and is one of the most important chess associations of Upper Franconia. However, as it’s coming in useful we have been playing in the chess district of Middle Franconia since 1959. The Chess Club Forchheim has got 12 different teams (six adult teams, three juvenile teams, one U12 team, one U14 and one U16 team) and is thus playing at all German chess levels. We are known as a stronghold of the royal game even far behind the boundaries of Forchheim.

9th Sparkassen Open

No matter whether you are eight or eighty-eight years old, whether you consider playing chess as your hobby or as a competitive sport, you are definitely at the right place in our chess club. We would be pleased to welcome you at any time, just drop by and have a look!
